After the hugely successful Gaaner Opare, where he lent his voice for the
male lead Gora singing Rabindrasangeet in a new style, Samantak Sinha is now
working on his maiden solo Rabindrasangeet album.
Why an album on Rabindrasangeet? "Why not?" says Samantak, "the
youth of today easily connects with my style of Rabindrasangeet and
they have been urging me right from the Gaaner Opare days to make an
album, afterall, my listeners are the most important to me, and of
course if I can spread the greatness of Tagore's works to my
listeners I am more than happy to oblige for making an album", he
adds.
